Intramuros

In Spanish, Intramuros means “walled city”. Intramuros was built by the Spaniards during the 16th century and is the oldest district of Manila. Churches, government buildings, museums, state houses, schools and plazas are some of the places that can be seen when visiting Intramuros.

 

Mall of Asia

Mall of Asia was constructed last 2006. Being one of the biggest malls in the world, it offers many selections for shopping, dining, and leisure. There is also an ice skating rink inside the mall and a sports arena outside, serving a maximum capacity of 20,000 seats.

 

Binondo Church

Built in 1956, Binondo church was formerly known as Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Parish. It was constructed for the purpose of serving the Chinese and Filipinos who were converted to Christianity. Despite having been destroyed several times during the war, it has been renovated and restored for the use of its devotees and as tourist attraction.

 

National Museum

The National Museum is an educational, scientific and cultural institution that acquires, preserves and showcases works of art, cultural and historical artifacts. These are preserved collections of our culture and heritage displayed for both local and foreign visitors. It is a 10-minute drive away from the hotel and is open from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm from Tuesdays to Sundays.

Ocean Park

Manila Ocean Park is one of the most advanced marine theme parks in Asia. With an area of 8,000 sqm, it is also considered as one of the biggest ocean parks in the world together with its first class amenities and entertainment facilities. Ocean Park is a 15-minute drive away from the hotel and is open from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm.

 

Malacañang

Also known as the official residence and office of the President, Malacañang Palace is where all the Philippine presidents lived. The first Filipino president to ever live there was Manuel L. Quezon. Tourists and visitors are allowed to have a tour inside the museum and select of the palace. Malacañang is a 15-minute drive from The Blulane Hotel.

 

Corregidor

Corregidor stands as a memorial for Filipino and American soldiers who fought for the country. Several memorabilia, old artilleries, shrines and monuments are open for viewing. Various tours include activities such as zipline, biking, hiking, sunrise viewing, kayak rentals and many more. Corregidor is a one and half hour drive from The Blulane Hotel.

 

Tagaytay

Tagaytay is one of the country’s most popular tourist destinations for foreigners and locals alike. It has scenic views of the Taal Volcano and the lake surrounding it. Its high altitude and cooler climate make it popular among the Filipinos who are used to the tropical climate of the Philppines. Tagaytay is approximately a two-hour drive from The Blulane Hotel.
